AgustaWestland's A119 Koala is a lightweight, single Pratt & Whitney PT6-37A engine, low cost, high performance helicopter intended for law enforcement, Emergency Medical Service (EMS), fire fighting, offshore operations and transport applications. It can accommodate up to eight persons including one pilot and up to seven passengers. It is fitted with modern avionics, liquid crystal displays and many improvements to reduce pilot's workload. The spacious cabin is complemented by a large baggage bay.
As of 2005, the helicopter is in service in seven countries serving commercial operators and public agencies such as Police Departments. The A119 is also available for military customers but no sales of such a militarized models have been reported to date. The A109 Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) configuration is the same that AgustaWestland is offering for the militarized variant of the A119 helicopter.
The AgustaWestland A119 Koala entered revenue service in 2000 with Australia's LinFox carrier. Since then, the A119 has been ordered by passenger transport-oriented operators and police departments to conduct law enforcement missions. Its flexible and multi-mission capabilities allow the aircraft to be fitted with FLIR, cargo hook, medical litter, rescue hoist and gun pods.
On 3 August 2006, Mexican carrier Aerolineas Ejecutivas signed a five-year distribution agreement with AgustaWestland including two A109 Power and one A119 Koala, one Grand and one AW139 plus options for 37 helicopters.

The AW119 Ke is an enhanced version of A119 Koala single-engine helicopter with increased maximum takeoff weight, payload and improved flight performance and range. Powered by a single Pratt & Whitney turbine rated at 1,002-shp and equipped new design main rotor blades, the AW119 delivers improved flight envelope for high altitude and hot environments. Its dual hydraulic and autopilot systems provide high safety levels. The sling load capability was improved as well. Outfitted as transport helicopter can accommodate up to seven passengers in its comfort cabin. In addition, the AW119 Ke helicopter is well suited for law enforcement, offshore applications, fire fighting and emergency medical services.
AgustaWestland unveiled its AW119 Ke helicopter at Heli-Expo 2007 March 2007 in Florida, USA. AgustaWestland is marketing the AW119 Ke as both new-build aircraft and/or upgrade kit for existing A119 Koalas.

The AW119 Kx is the latest enhanced version of the A119 Koala single-engine helicopter with state-of-the-art integrated avionics bringing this model to a new digital era while keeping the outstanding performance, cabin space and payload characteristics of the rugged AW119Ke. The new aircraft features the Garmin G1000H glass integrated flight deck system and the very latest avionics, including synthetic vision, moving map, highway in the sky and obstacle/terrain avoidance systems, to improve situational awareness and increase safety. The aircraft is powered by a single PT6B-37A Pratt & Whitney turbine rated at 1,002-shp developing a maximum speed of 152 knots (282 km/h). The AW119Kx has the most spacious cabin in its category and with its separate cabin and cockpit areas provides true cabin class comfort. Critical systems redundancies similar to twin-engine helicopters provide high levels of safety. In addition, the AW119 Kx helicopter is well suited for law enforcement, offshore applications, fire fighting and emergency medical services.
AgustaWestland unveiled its AW119 Kx helicopter at Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) in Seattle, USA, in October 2012. AgustaWestland plans to achieve type certification in the first quarter of 2013. The first customer for the AW119Kx is Life Flight Network, which is set to receive all of the 15 units ordered for its air medical helicopter transportation requirement during 2013.

The Leonardo Helicopters TH-73A is a variant of the TH-119 light utility helicopter developed to meet the requirements of the US Navy. The new aircraft is intended to support the US Navy training on rotary-wing aircraft. On January 13, 2020, the US Navy awarded AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corps $176 million contract for the production and delivery of 32 TH-73A helicopters through October 2021. A second batch for 36 helicopters worth $171 million was issued on November 12, 2020. Lot III contract awarded in December 2021 called for the procurement of 36 additional aircraft.
